Raised To Inspire

My good friend from New York, Holden Jaffe is the lead guitarist for the band Del Water Gap. For being some of the youngest kids on the streets of Manhattan, these boys truly know how to rock out! About a year ago they had a local artist draw up this image of a random individual and I fell in love. If you want to check out Del Water Gap's blog and get your own t-shirt click Here.

From a young age, I have always listened to an eclectic variety of genres. From Jay Z, to Frank Sinatra, and then back to the Rolling Stones. Whenever I hear a new artist who has their own unique style, I definitely try to give it a listen. Del Water Gap is one of those bands that is really pushing the music industry to show that you do not need to be a certain age or certain style as long as you have a real passion for what you are doing.

Rome Castille, one of our closest friends and up and coming dapper rapper, is just about to release his highly anticipated new EP. Not only does he have a unique stage presence and style for a rap artist, but his orchestral beats are testing the limits of the current rap game. Go check his website out Here, and see what you have been missing out on!
At Born and Raised, we take a similar approach as these two artists, in taking a unique approach to tried ideas. We believe that there is no right or wrong when it comes to getting dressed everyday. We try new styles, explore our city, and try to meet as many inspiring people as we can. We encourage anyone and everyone to go out there and try something new that you have a passion for!
